Kraft Foods Group is recalling approximately 96,000 pounds of Oscar Mayer Classic Wieners because packages of the recalled Classic Wieners may actually contain Classic Cheese Dogs.

Labels on the affected Classic Wieners are incorrect, as they do not reflect the ingredients associated with the pasteurized cheese in the cheese dogs. Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to cheese or milk run the risk of a serious allergic reaction if they inadvertently consume a cheese dog.

The following products are affected by this recall:

  • 16 oz. packages of 'Classic Wieners Made with Turkey & Chicken, Pork Added' with a 'USE BY 16 Jun 2014' date and a product code of '044700000632'

The recalled products were produced on March 2-3, 2014, and bear the establishment number 'Est. 537H' inside the USDA mark of inspection. The products were distributed to Kraft distribution centers and in retail stores nationwide. To date, no adverse reactions or illnesses relating to the consumption of these products have been reported.
