Mercedes-Benz is recalling about 5,600 passenger vans due to a manufacturing error.

The company is recalling certain model year 2015 Sprinter 2500 and 3500 passenger vans because the abutting wedge - a component attached to the door jam – may have been installed incorrectly.

Since the component makes it easier to open the door after an accident, if the wedge is incorrectly installed, it may be more difficult to leave the van after an accident.

Sprinter will nofify affected owners and dealers will inspect, and correct, the abutting wedge, free of charge.

For more information, owners can contact Sprinter customer service at 1-877-762-8267.

If you've ever purchased or looked into purchasing a used vehicle, chances are good that you've either seen or at least heard of CARFAX, a service that provides historical information on used vehicles. But just how reliable is the information that CARFAX reports provide? They are only as good as the information that is reported.

We are urging consumers to avoid purchasing model year 2005-2010 Nissan Pathfinder, Frontier and Xterra vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission due to a potential defect that could cost thousands of dollars to repair and put the vehicle occupants' safety at risk.
