About 93,000 Pounds of Chicken Recalled for Missing Allergy Warning

Big Easy Foods Louisiana Cuisine is recalling about 93,000 pounds of chicken due to a labeling error.

Raw and cooked stuffed chicken made by the company contains wheat, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. Those who are allergic or sensitive to wheat are at risk of illness if they eat the chicken.

No illnesses, however, have been reported.

The recall affects three-pound chipboard cartons of Boneless Stuffed Chicken with Pork Sausage and Potato Stuffing and Fully Cooked Boneless Stuffed Chicken with Pork Sausage and Potato Stuffing.

The products were produced on various dates from June 9, 2013, through June 9, 2015 and bear the establishment number "13251" inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The chicken was sold in retail outlets in Louisiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, New Jersey, Arizona, Florida, and Tennessee.
