Ace Hardware has announced a recall of 15,000 Ace Clamp-On LED Work Lights. The cord bushing inside the light base could fail, allowing the cord wiring to pull out of the base, exposing bare wire and presenting a shock and fire hazard.

This recall includes the Ace Clamp-On LED Work Light measuring 3 inches wide by 2.5 inches deep and 2.25 inches high. It has a silver plastic lamp head with black rubber sides and eight LED lights on one side; a black plastic cube-shaped lamp base sized 1.75 inches wide by 2.25 inches deep by 2 inches high, a 6-foot black cord; and silver clamp with black rubber grips. The recalled units are stamped with the model number 'DC004' and date code '08/13' on the back of the light base.

The recalled Ace LED work lights were sold at Ace Hardware retail stores and other hardware stores nationwide, as well as online from September 2013 to December 2013.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled clamp lights and return them to their local Ace Hardware store for a full refund.
