Allergy Alert: Recalled Instant Coffee Mix Contains Milk That is Not Declared on the Label

Hong Lee Trading Inc. has issued a recall for its Vina Café Wake-up Instant Coffee Mix.

What's the problem?

The coffee is being recalled because it contains milk that is not listed on the ingredient label. Individuals that have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.

The recalled Vina Café Wake-up Instant Coffee Mix was distributed throughout the states of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. The product comes in a 0.6 ounce plastic package, with 18 packets per cardboard box marked with lot number EXP: 17.MAR.2019 1T13 on the bottom of the box.

No illnesses or allergic reactions involving this product have been reported to date.

What should consumers do?

Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled coffee and are allergic to milk are urged to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
