Reichel Foods is recalling approximately 15,880 pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.

This recall involves 5.6 oz. Armour Active Packs. The two varieties affected include the Turkey & Cheese Wrap with package code 1026090112 or case code 27815-17994, and the Ham & Cheese Wrap with package code 1026090112 or case code 27815-17995.

The potential product contamination was discovered through microbiological testing by a third party. Thus far there have been no reports of injury or illness from ingesting the recalled products.

Listeria is an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, Listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.

Consumers should discard the recalled Armour Active Packs immediately. For a more information on this recall contact Karin Grzanek of Reichel Foods toll-free at 866-372-2609.
