Defective brakes have prompted a recall from one auto manufacturer.

Autocar announced this week that it would be recalling certain model year 2014-2016 Xpeditor vehicles. In dual-drive, right-hand stand configurations, the right-side brake plunger may stick and cause the brakes to drag.

If the brake plunger is not functioning properly and affecting braking performance, a loss of vehicle control may result, increasing the risk of a crash.

Autocar believes that almost 500 vehicles may be impacted by this defect.

Autocar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the brake plunger, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin December 4, 2015.

Owners with questions about the recall can contact Autocar customer service at (888) 218-3611.
