A cookware manufacturer is recalling one of its products due to multiple safety hazards.

TCC Cooking Company announced the voluntary recall this week for CHEFS-branded flameproof ceramic vertical roasters. These roasters are prone to breaking and shattering, which results in burn and laceration hazards for the user. The company is recalling about 4,000 roasters.

The product is black and consists of a round roasting pan with handles and a removable insert. The underside of the handles are slightly recessed for grip. The CHEFS logo is at the center of the rimmed base.

TCC Cooking Company has received 25 reports of the roasters breaking or shattering. No serious injuries have been reported.

This product was for sale at Chefscatalog.com, Cooking.com, Target.com and other online retailers from April 2014 through May 2015 for between $35 and $50.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled roasters. All who purchased the roaster through Target.com should return the product to any Target store for a full refund. All others should discard the product and contact TCC Cooking to receive a gift card equal to the purchase price.

Customers with questions about the recall can contact TCC Cooking at (800) 338-3232 and Target at (800) 440-0680.
