Evergreen RV has announced a recall for motorhomes with a defective power source.

The RV manufacturer's recall applies to certain model year 2013-2015 Amped and Amped Reactor vehicles. In the affected models, the generator and generator pump may shift during transit, and as a result, carbon monoxide from the generator may fill the passenger cabin when running.

Carbon monoxide is a poisonous gas and occupants can suffocate if it enters the cabin.

The announcement from Evergreen includes about 600 RVs.

Evergreen will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the vehicles and correct the generator installation, as necessary, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

Owners with questions about this recall can contact Evergreen customer service at (574) 825-4298.
