ALDI has issued a voluntarily recall for Choceur Dark Chocolate Bars that may contain almond pieces. Almonds are not listed as an ingredient on the label, posing an allergy risk to some consumers.

Anyone with an allergy or severe sensitivity to nuts should not consume this product.

Recalled Product Details

The recalled 5.29 oz. Choceur Dark Chocolate Bars come in brown and red wrapping with a best-by date of July 24, 2018 and a UPC code of 4149817964.

ALDI says that it has removed the affected product from its stores.

Where were they sold?

The chocolate bars were available for purchase at ALDI stores in the following states: Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa, Kentucky, West Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Maryland, Washington D.C., Virginia, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Florida, and Texas.

The product was also available for purchase to ALDI customers in the Atlanta, Dallas, and Los Angeles areas through the company's partnership with Instacart, a grocery delivery service.

To date, no illnesses related to this recall have been reported. No other ALDI products are affected by this recall.
