Choking Hazard Prompts Recall of Manhattan Toy Busy Loops

March 31, 2016

Manhattan Toy has announced a recall for its Busy Loops table top toy due to the discovery that the round plastic beads can break, posing a choking hazard.

The company has received two reports of beads breaking off the toy. No injuries have been reported.

The toys have orange, green, blue and purple plastic tubing with plastic beads that can slide up and down the tubing. The tubes sit on a blue plastic base with an orange plastic suction cup. The model number 700470 and lot code FH are printed on the bottom of the blue base.

About 2,100 toys are being included in the recall.

Consumers could purchase this product at BuyBuy Baby and other toy stores nationwide, and online from September 2015 through January 2016 for about $15.

Customers should immediately stop using the recalled toy and return it to the store where it was purchased or contact Manhattan Toy for a full refund.

Individuals with questions about this recall can contact Manhattan Toy at (800) 541-1345.
