Chrysler Announces Recall of Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles
The impacted vehicles have diodes in the Power Inverter Module (PIM) that may fail
Chrysler is recalling certain model year 2017 Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicles (PHEV).
The impacted vehicles have diodes in the Power Inverter Module (PIM) that may fail due to an overvoltage condition. If the diodes fail, the vehicle will not move under its own power.
A vehicle that suddenly cannot be driven increases the risk of a crash.
Approximately 1,350 Pacifica Plug-in Hybrid Electric vehicles are affected by this recall.
Chrysler says that it has not yet finalized its remedy plans for this recall. Owners of the recalled vehicles will receive notification from Chrysler beginning on July 24, 2017.
