If you drive a model year 2018 RAM ProMaster City vehicle, you may be impacted by Chrysler's latest recall.

What's the problem?

The automaker says that approximately 3,500 of these vehicles contain tire placards that may indicate the incorrect total number of occupants allowed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 110, "Tire Selection and Rims."

If the tire placard indicates an incorrect seating capacity, the operator may overload the vehicle, which can cause tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.

What happens next?

Chrysler will notify owners of the recalled RAM ProMaster City vehicles beginning in mid-April 2018. RAM dealers will then install a corrected tire placard, free of charge.
