Chrysler has issued a recall for a line of its cargo vans because the airbags can deploy unexpectedly.

Road hazards, like pot holes, can cause the front passenger side curtain or seat airbags to deploy unexpectedly in the affected 2013-2015 Ram C/V Tradesman cargo vans. This increases the risk of a crash or injury to the passenger.

About 18,200 vans are affected by the recall, which only affects those equipped with two front bucket seats and no rear seating.

Chrysler will notify owners of the recall and dealers will update the software in the Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) module, free of charge.

Owners can contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 for more information. Chrysler's number for this recall is P51.
