Chrysler Recalls 24,500 Vans, Head Restraints Don't Comply with Federal Standards
Chrysler is recalling all 2014 Ram ProMaster vans.
The 24,500 affected vans may have been manufactured with head restraints that exceed the maximum backset measurement limit of 55mm.
Subsequently, the cars don't comply with federal standards. Also, if the van is struck from behind, the head restraint may not keep the passenger's head from moving backward, increasing the risk of an injury.
Chrysler will notify owners of the recall, but has not yet provided a notification schedule. Dealers will replace the head restraints, free of charge.
Owners can contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 for additional information. Chrysler's reference number for this recall is P53.
