Isuzu is issuing a recall for trucks with a potentially dangerous in the gas tank.

The manufacturer is voluntarily recalling certain model year 2006-2008 Isuzu NPR and NPR-HD and Chevrolet W3500 and W4500 trucks and 2006-2008 GMC W3500 and W4500 trucks. The affected vehicles have a fuel tank that may corrode and leak fuel.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.

Isuzu is recalling about 13,700 trucks in connection with this defect.

Isuzu will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel tank, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

Owners with questions about the recall can contact Isuzu customer service (866) 441-9638.
