Cracker Barrel is pulling a line of toys from the shelves of its famous gift shop after receiving reports that they overheated.

The company issued a recall for about 13,000 Giggles International sign-along toy monkeys because the battery compartment can reach temperatures of up to 230 degrees. In two cases, the toys overheated and melted the battery compartment.

Giggles International Animated Sing-Along Monkey toys are designed to hold a song book titled '5 Little Monkeys' and sing when activated.

The manufacture date in the M/D/YYYY format and batch code are printed on the bottom of a white fabric label attached near the base of the monkey's tail. Recalled sing-along monkeys were manufactured between 6/7/2014 and 7/5/2014 from batch code GP1410028.

They were sold exclusively at Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores nationwide from September 2014 to October 2014 for about $25.

Parents and caregivers should immediately take away the animated monkey from children, remove the batteries and return the toy to any Cracker Barrel or contact Giggles International for a full refund.

Giggles International can be contacted at (800) 738-6018.
