Crane Valve Bank Cover Can Detach on Custom Truck and Equipment Vehicles
The affected covers may crack and fall from the crane during transport, posing a road hazard
Custom Truck and Equipment (CTE) has announced that is recalling vehicles with faulty equipment.
The manufacturer is recalling certain model year 2013-2016 Dominator-Propane, Dominator I, Dominator II, Dominator III, and Dominator IV trucks equipped with IMT cranes, models 6000, 7500, 8600, 9500, 10000, 12000, and 14000. The affected cranes have a valve bank cover that may crack and fall from the crane during transport.
If the valve bank cover detaches from the crane it could be a road hazard, increasing the risk of a crash.
The company believes that about 15 trucks are potentially affected.
CTE will notify owners, and dealers will replace the valve bank cover with a thicker gauge cover, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in May 2016.
