Crownplace Brands is recalling 500 Aladdin MaxBrite kerosene lamp burners. The burner's threads can disengage, allowing the burner to disconnect from the base, posing burn and fire hazards to the user.

The solid brass lamp burners measure about four inches tall and three inches in diameter. The burner thread is about 3/8 inches long (about 9mm). Aladdin MAXBrite500 is printed on the burner knob. The patent number 3551086 and Aladdin are printed on the barrel.

The recalled burners were sold separately and as part of a lamp assembly at hardware and antique stores nationwide and online from July 2015 through July 2016.

To date, Crownplace has received one report of thread failure resulting in a first degree burn.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled lamp burners and contact Crownplace Brands for a free replacement.
