A faulty electrical system has prompted a recall from Keystone RV.

The company has announced that it is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 Dutchmen Kodiak recreational trailers. In the affected vehicles, the two sections of LED rope lights that serve as backlighting for the countertop each have exposed ends.

This condition may result in an electrical short, increasing the risk of a fire.

About 135 trailers are included in Keystone's recall.

The manufacturer is notifying owners and dealers will install a heat shrink tube over one of the LED rope light ends, free of charge. The recall began on June 8, 2016.

Owners with questions about this recall can contact Keystone customer service at (866) 425-4369.
