Lipari Foods has issued a voluntary recall of specific dark chocolate products packaged by its sister company JLM due to an undeclared milk allergen.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. The products are safe for consumption by those who do not have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk.

Recall Details

The recalled dark chocolate products were distributed to retail stores throughout Alabama, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Wisconsin, and West Virginia.

The products were distributed under the Weis and All Natural brand names or as a generic product without branding.

To date, there have been no reported illnesses connected to this recall.

What should consumers do?

Consumers who have purchased any of the recalled dark chocolate products should not consume them. The products can be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.
