Defective Axle Hubs Leads to Recall from Stealth Trailers

October 12, 2015

An automotive trailer manufacturer is issuing a recall for several products due to suspension issues.

Stealth Enterprises LLC, operating as Stealth Trailers, announced last week that it would be voluntarily recalling certain model year 2016 Qualitec Gooseneck and Yukon, Stealth Super-Lite, Predator, Intruder, Car Hauler Express, Gooseneck, Liberty, Liberty Limited Edition, Phantom I, Prowler, Titan, Titan SE, Viper, and Coldshore trailers.

In the affected trailers, the studs that are used to attach the wheels to the axle hubs may break. If the wheel studs break, the wheel could detach from the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Stealth is recalling 165 trailers in connection with this defect.

The company will notify owners, and dealers will replace any affected wheel hub, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.

Owners with questions about the recall can contact Stealth Trailers customer service at (574) 848-5900.
