Defective Fuel Pump Leads to Recall of Nissan Rogue Vehicles
An SUV from Nissan is now subject to a recall due to a fuel system malfunction.
The manufacturer is recalling certain model year 2014 Nissan Rogue vehicles. Improper nickel plating of components within the fuel pump may result in fuel pump failure.
If the fuel pump fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.
Nearly 50,000 vehicles are included in this recall.
Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule.
