Products from two international manufacturers are being recalled in Canada this week due to safety concerns.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) issued the decision to recall items from Mott's and Heinz because of possible broken seals. The defect, first reported by a consumer, can cause spoilage.

The products included in the recall are Mott's Fruitsations Fruit Rockets and Heinz's apple, broccoli, pea & brown rice children's food. For the affected UPCs and sizes, see the CFIA press release.

Consumers should not use the affected products. Recalled items should be thrown out or returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.

The CFIA is currently conducting a food safety investigation into products with similar seals. This may lead to the recall of other products. No illnesses have yet been reported in connection with the recall.

Customers with questions can contact Kathy Murphy of Kraft Heinz at (416) 441-5610 and Mott's Legal Department at (914) 846-2348.
