Nikon has announced a technical service advisory for one of its cameras.

The advisory applies to users of the Nikon D750 digital SLR camera. Affected models feature a shutter that is not functioning normally, which may shade of a portion of images.

In July 2015, the company announced a recall specifically for models manufactured in October and November of 2014. Nikon has since learned that more cameras may be affected and has extended the recall to include those manufactured from December 2014 to June 2015.

To check whether your camera is included in the recall, verify your serial number at Nikon's support site.

If your serial number is included, Nikon will examine and replace the shutter, free of charge. The company will perform service even if the camera's warranty has expired.

Customers with questions about this advisory can contact Nikon at (800) 645-6687.
