Ditos Issues Allergy Alert on Fruit Platters Due to Undeclared Milk and Soy

Due to the presence of undeclared soy and milk ingredients in their fruit platters, Ditos of Anchorage, Alaska has issued an allergy alert and announced a recall. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to soy and/or milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.

Ditos is recalling approximately 50 cases of Heart Plastic Platter Strawberries w/ Dip with Chocolate Frosting 32-ounce, and 30 cases of Heart Plastic Platter Mixed Fruit w/ Dip with Chocolate Frosting 40-ounce. The Use By date can be found on the bottom of the platter.

The recalled fruit platters were distributed in Alaska to one distributor and may have been redistributed to one retailer between February 8 and February 13, 2017. Additionally, the affected products were sold at seven Walmart stores located in Debarr, Dimond, Eagle River, Fairbanks, Kenai, Midtown, and Wasilla of Alaska.

No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this recall.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing milk and soy was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of milk and soy.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled products are urged not to consume it.
