Chrysler has announced a recall affecting certain model year 2016 Dodge Viper vehicles. The wires for the driver's frontal airbag on the affected vehicles may be pinched.

If the driver's airbag wires are pinched, the airbag may not deploy properly in the event of a crash necessitating airbag deployment, increasing the risk of injury to the driver.

The Dodge Viper vehicles included in this recall were all manufactured between May 24, 2016 and August 28, 2016.

Dodge will notify owners of the recalled vehicles, and dealers will replace the driver's frontal airbag and clockspring, free of charge.

This recall is expected to begin on November 18, 2016. Owners with additional questions can contact Chrysler customer service toll-free at (800) 853-1403.

Chrysler's reference number for this recall is S75.
