Ducati North America is recalling more than 1,400 model year 2016-2017 Ducati XDiavel motorcycles.

The affected motorcycles may have an insufficiently tightened final drive pulley retaining nut which may result in a loss of power transmission to the rear wheel.

A loss of power transmission to the rear wheel may increase the risk of a crash.

The recall is expected to begin November 7, 2016.

Ducati will notify owners, and dealers will install a new washer under the final drive pulley retaining nut and increase the tightening torque, free of charge.
