eheat is recalling 35,000 Envi high-efficiency electric panel wall heaters. Improper wire crimping by the manufacturer can cause the unit to overheat, smoke, or melt, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

Recalled Product Details

The affected Envi Wall Heaters were sold in white and black and measure about 19 inches by 22 inches by 2 inches. One of the following model numbers can be found on the back of the unit: HH1012T, HW1012T, HW1012N, HW1022T, HW1022N, or HH1012T-BK.

Where and when were they sold?

The recalled heaters were sold online at eheat.com and through some specialty retailers from July 2015 through August 2016.

To date, eheat says that it has received approximately 300 reports of overheating involving these Envi heaters. No injuries have been reported.

What should consumers do?

Consumers in possession of a recalled heater should stop using it immediately and contact eheat to schedule a free repair.
