A bus manufacturer is issuing a recall due to an electrical defect.

Blue Bird Body Company announced this week that it would be recalling certain model year 2016 Vision school buses. In the affected vehicles, the Engine Control Module (ECM) may short circuit, causing the engine to stall without warning. An engine that stalls without warning increases the risk of a crash.

Blue Bird claims that the defect is specifically tied to buses manufactured on August 16, 2015. Therefore, only two vehicles are included in the recall.

The affected buses have been corrected. Therefore, an owner notification letter will not be issued for this campaign.

Owners with questions about the recall can contact Blue Bird customer service at (478) 822-2242.
