JM Mattress is issuing a recall for a line of its mattresses due to concerns about fire safety.

The Chicago, IL-based manufacturer announced the decision after being informed that its Tight Top RB Sweet Dream model does not meet federally-mandated open flame standards. The company believes that about 240 mattresses are subject to the recall.

Recalled mattresses are ivory colored and have a white federal tag that reads "Manufactured By: J.M. Mattress, 4536 W. Gladys Ave. Chicago IL 60624, Model: Tight Top RB Sweet Dreams, Protoype ID: TTQRBD Sweet Dreams." They were available in twin, full, queen, and king sizes.

These pieces were sold at independent mattress stores in Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin from September 2014 through December 2014 for between $50 and $500.

Consumers should immediately contact JM Mattress to arrange to have the recalled mattresses picked up, recovered and returned free of charge. The company can be contacted at (708) 456-4600.
