Jaguar Land Rover North America has issued a recall for a luxury vehicle with faulty airbags.

The automaker is recalling certain model year 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2015 XF vehicles. In the affected vehicles, the front driver-side airbags may be missing a chemical enhancer required for the second stage deployment, resulting in the second stage deploying improperly in certain crashes.

An airbag that inflates improperly will expose the driver to potential injury.

The company believes that only five vehicles are affected by this issue.

Jaguar will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front driver-side airbag module, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on June 6, 2016.

Owners with questions about this recall can contact Jaguar customer service at (800) 452-4827.
