The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning for several supplements that contain hidden prescription medication.

The sexual enhancement supplements are generally found online and contain sildenafil, the active ingredient in the FDA approved drug Viagra. Sildenafil is not listed on the label and it is illegal to take without first getting a prescription from a doctor.

Consumers are urged not to purchase or take Bull, Zhong Hua Niu Bian, Bull's Genital, or Weekend Prince.

Sildenafil can react with nitrates that are found in some prescription drugs and can lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates.

Health care professionals and patients are encouraged to report adverse events or side effects related to the use of this product to the FDA's MedWatch Safety Information and Adverse Event Reporting Program.
