A bicycle with an unstable seat post is being recalled by its manufacturer.

Felt Bicycles is issuing a voluntary recall for all model year 2015 Felt Double Double 30, NINEe 20 and Edict 1 mountain bicycles. The carbon seat post originally sold with the bicycle can crack and break, posing injury and fall hazards to the rider. About 645 bikes are subject to the decision.

Felt has received 10 reports of the seat post cracking. No injuries have been reported.

The affected bicycles were sold in blue, gray/orange, and black/blue color schemes. The model name is printed on the top tube of the bicycles. The Felt logo is on the down tube of the Double Double 30 and the NINEe20, and on the top tube of the Edict 1.

Consumers could purchase these items at bicycle specialty stores nationwide from August 2014 through September 2015 for between $2,000 and $5,500.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact their local Felt Bicycles dealer for a free inspection and seat post replacement.

Customers with questions about this recall can contact Felt Bicycles at (866) 433-5887.
