Fire Risk Leads to Recall of 207,000 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana Vans
Liquid may leak into the driver's power window switch and cause corrosion
Approximately 207,000 model year 2014-2017 Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans equipped with power windows have been recalled by General Motors (GM).
What's the problem?
On the affected vehicles, liquid may leak into the driver's power window switch and cause corrosion, resulting in high electrical resistance.
High electrical resistance can increase the risk of a vehicle fire.
What happens next?
GM will send a recall notification to owners of the impacted Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vans in the coming weeks. Local dealers will then replace the driver side window switch, free of charge.
