Fixed Position Tree Stand Recalled by Millennium Outdoors

September 30, 2015

A tree stand manufacturer is issuing a recall for one model due to safety concerns.

Millennium Outdoors is voluntarily recalling the 2015 model M-60 fixed position tree stand after the discovery that the seat on the tree stand can bend in a downward angle, posing a fall hazard to the user. Millennium is recalling about 1,400 stands in relation to this defect.

Fixed position tree stands are used by hunters to enable them to hunt from an elevated position. The black metal tree stands include the main stand platform with a nylon hanging strap assembly. It has a green canvas seat with a red M and Millennium Treestand printed in white letters in the center affixed with black snaps on the sides. The model number is printed on the tree stand packaging. The date code MO5100 is stamped on the top of the back post of the tree stand.

This item was sold at B&H Farm Supply, Farris Brothers, Gander Mountain, Midway USA and Sportsman's Warehouse from May 2015 through August 2015 for about $220.

No incidents or injuries have been reported to the company.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled tree stands and return them to the manufacturer for a replacement stand.

Customers with questions should contact the company at (844) 766-0468.
