Toyota is recalling more than 100 FJ Cruisers due to a manufacturing defect.

In certain model year 2014 FJ Cruisers, the intermediate steering shaft that connects the steering wheel and the steering box may have been welded inadequately.

If this weld fails, the driver will experience a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Toyota will notify affected owners and dealers will replace the intermediate steering shaft, free of charge.

For more information, owners can contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331.
