Flaw in Brake Cylinder of Nissan Juke Vehicles May Cause Reduced Braking Performance
Leaking brake fluid could lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle
Certain model year 2015-2017 Nissan Juke Nismo RS vehicles are being recalled because of an issue with the brakes.
What's the problem?
On these vehicles, a problem within the brake master cylinder could cause brake fluid to leak into the brake booster, reducing brake performance.
If brake fluid leaks into the brake booster, it can lengthen the distance needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
What happens next?
Owners of the affected Nissan Juke Nismo RS vehicles will be notified by Nissan beginning in mid-March 2018. Local Nissan dealers will then replace the brake master cylinder, free of charge.
