Ford Motor Company has issued a recall impacting certain model year 2018 Ford Expedition, F-150, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles equipped with 3.5L GTDI V6 engines.

What's the problem?

These vehicles have high pressure fuel pump assemblies with welds that can fracture, which may cause an oil or fuel leak.

A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of a fire.

Approximately 5,645 Ford Expedition, F-150, and Lincoln Navigator vehicles are affected by this recall.

What happens next?

Ford will notify owners of the recalled vehicles beginning in mid-July 2018. Local Ford and Lincoln dealers will then replace the high pressure fuel pump and associated components. All repairs related to this recall will be completed free of charge to owners.
