Forest River Recalling Shasta Revere Recreational Vehicles
Incorrect labeling has prompted a recall from an American RV manufacturer.
Forest River has announced that it is recalling certain 2012-2013 Shasta Revere recreational vehicles due to improper weight information. The gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) and cargo carrying capacity specification is incorrect on the federal certification label and tire information label.
The incorrect weight information could result in the operator overloading the vehicle, which may cause axle or tire failure, increasing the risk of a crash.
The company believes that about 120 vehicles are impacted by this issue.
Forest River will notify all affected consumers by mail and dealers will replace the incorrect label with a corrected label, free of charge. The recall began on June 23, 2015.
