Forest River is recalling certain model year 2016-2017 XLR ToyHauler recreational trailers, models XLT23KW and WZXLT23KW.

The affected trailers were built with axle equalizers that are too short.

An equalizer that is too short may cause a failure of the equalizer and/or axle springs, resulting in a possible loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash.

Approximately 100 XLR ToyHauler recreational trailers are impacted by this recall.

Forest River will notify owners of the recalled trailers beginning on August 1, 2017. Forest River dealers will then install the correct equalizers, free of charge.
