Forest River is announcing its third recall so far this month with a dangerous safety defect affecting the exhaust system of a line of commercial buses.

During the installation of the floor decking in about 20 model year 2011-2016 Glaval Titan II Low Floor diesel transit buses, a screw may have pieces the exhaust tube.

If the exhausted tube was pierced and the screw is removed, exhaust fumes may enter the passenger area, posing a severe suffocation risk. Additionally, there is an increased risk of a fire.

Forest River will notify affected owners, and dealers will remove and inspect the exhaust system. It will be sealed or replaced as necessary, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin in November.
