Glass Particles in Corona Beer Prompts Constellation Brands Recall
Corona drinkers should be on the lookout for an unwanted addition to their beer.
Constellation Brands Beer Division has announced that is voluntarily recalling select Corona Extra 12-packs and 18-packs of 12 ounce clear bottles. The bottles may contain small particles of glass, posing an injury threat to consumers.
According the Constellation, the recall is very small in scope, represent less than one-tenth of one percent of Corona Extra 12-ounce clear bottles in the marketplace.
This recall comes after routine quality assurance inspections at two Anheuser-Busch InBev breweries that produce some of Constellation Brands' beer products.
For a list of the production codes of the affected bottles, see the Constellation Brands release.
To date, the company has received no consumer complaints or reports of injuries resulting from the affected bottles.
