Good Food Made Simple is issuing a recall for various product that did not go through a proper border inspection.

The Wellesley, MA distributor previously exported over 3,500 pounds of turkey sausage breakfast burritos and pork strips and turkey sausage breakfast bowls to Canada. The items were returned and then distributed in California, but did not go through the proper returned export inspection. Without the opportunity for inspection, a possibility of health consequences exists.

The recall specifically applies to 533 cases of "Good Food Made Simple Turkey Sausage Breakfast Burrito" bearing an expiration date of "03/22/2016" and 450 cases of "Good Food Made Simple Pork Strips & Turkey Sausage Breakfast Bowl" bearing expiration date "03/19/2016."

The problem was discovered during failure to present monitoring. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and the company have received no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact a healthcare provider.

Consumers with questions about the recall should contact Corinne Lupi of Good Food Made Simple at clupi@foodmark.com.
