About 48,500 Goodyear tires are being recalled for failing to comply with federal safety standards.

Certain Fortera HL P255/65R18 109S tires experienced cracking of the tread during tire endurance testing, which could result in a loss of tire pressure and a blowout.

Tires that were installed as original equipment on 2015 Buick Enclave, Chevrolet Traverse, and GMC Acadia are being replaced free of charge by General Motors dealers. Affected owners of those cars will be notified by GM.

Vehicle owners that purchased and installed them as replacement tires can contact Goodyear for more information at 1-800-592-3267.
