Hale Products is issuing a recall on certain Class 1 Ultraview Touchscreen Displays due to a problem with the electrical system.

False activations or deactivations of accessories can happen without the operator's knowledge, causing accessories to turn on or off and affecting vehicle performance. If accessories such as emergency beacons or automatic snow chains are unintentionally turned on or off, the risk of a crash increases.

According to the manufacturer, about 2,300 displays are potentially defective.

Hale will notify the purchasers of the displays, though it has not yet provided a notification schedule. Some models will be re-programmed, while other operators will get supplemental training guides to prevent the unintended activations.

For more information, owners can contact Hale customer service at (800) 533-3569.
