Failure to meet the requirements of a federal safety standard has prompted Helmets R Us to recall approximately 9,700 Rollerblade-branded helmets that may not adequately protect the user.

Recalled Product Details

The recalled Rollerblade helmets are used in schools' physical education programs. The helmets are white with Rollerblade printed on the side of the helmet in black. They were manufactured from September 2011 through April 2017.

A model number of 16, SK-501N and the manufactured date (in MM/YYYY format) are printed on a label on the inside of the helmet. Distributed by: Helmets R Us is printed on another label on the inside of the helmet.

When and where were they sold?

The impacted Rollerblade-branded helmets were sold to schools nationwide from September 2011 through April 2018.

To date, no incidents or injuries related to this recall have been reported.

What should consumers do?

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled helmets and contact Helmets R Us to receive a free replacement helmet. Helmets R Us is contacting all known purchasers directly.
