Nitrous Outlet has announced a recall for an auto part designed to enhance vehicle performance.

The company is recalling certain of its .122 Nitrous Solenoid valves, part number 00-50004. Due to improper welding, the affected valves may separate when under pressure, either during installation or during use of the nitrous system. This could result in the piston ejecting.

If the piston ejects, it can increase the risk of injury to those nearby or possibly damage other nearby components.

About 580 valves are impacted by this recall, according to the manufacturer.

Nitrous Outlet has notified owners, and offered to provide a full refund or a replacement part, free of charge.

Customers with questions about this recall can contact the company at (254) 848-4300.
