A windshield replacement may be necessary for some Fiat Chrysler vehicles.

The automaker is recalling certain model year 2014-15 Dodge Grand Caravan and 2015-16 Chrysler Town & Country minivans. A routine inspection of two vehicles found their windshields did not meet manufacturer standards for proper adhesion. The problem has been traced to the use of an expired bonding agent.

These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 212, "Windshield Mounting."

An improperly connected windshield can dislodge in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury to vehicle occupants.

Fiat Chrysler believes that about 180 minivans are impacted by this issue. No injuries or incidents have been reported.

Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will replace the windshield, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on March 4, 2016.

Owners with questions or concerns about the recall can call the Fiat Chrysler U.S. Customer Care Center at (800) 853-1403.
