Halcore Group is recalling more than 350 model year 2013-2016 Horton ambulances, models 453, 457, 503, 553, 603, and 623. The affected vehicles may have an improperly sealed Cool-Tech air-conditioning condenser controller wire harness that can allow water to enter the controller housing.

If water gets into the controller housing, the controller may short circuit, increasing the risk of an electrical fire.

The recall is expected to begin in September 2016.

Halcore will notify owners, and dealers will replace the Cool-Tech condenser fan controller assembly, free of charge.
